John "Dino" Denis (born 1951) is an American former boxer.[1]

Boxing career[edit]

Beginning his career in 1972, by 1976 Denis had racked up a 28-0-1 record.[2] His record was dotted with respectable wins. Among them were Jose Roman and Scott LeDoux. Denis took two losses this year, being beaten by George Foreman and Leroy Jones. John then won seven fights before losing to undefeated Gerry Cooney. Denis won many more fights before losing to Donnie Long and Joe Bugner. After a win and a draw Denis retired.
