John Battiloro

John Roberts Battiloro (born March 12, 1959) is a former record producer and now a business consultant specializing in the Media, Entertainment and Broadcasting Industries.

Early career[edit]

Battiloro's career began prior to entering University at Minot Sound Studio's. There he engineered and produced jazz greats such as: Sonny Fortune, Clifford Jordan, Bill Lee, Charles Davis, Carlos Garnett, Stanley Cowell, Billy Higgins, Harold Land, Cecil Bridgewater and Dee Dee Bridgewater. During this time period Battiloro went to work for producers Cashman and West. During the years that followed he worked with Noel Paul Stookey, Liza Minnelli and Ben Vereen.

In 1980 Battiloro joined Nabisco Brands as an in house producer for commercials, corporate communications and films. During that time he created the Famous Nabisco jingle "Na-Bis-Co" which aired on television and radio for more than 15 years making it one of the longest notable jingles[citation needed] to be used by a Fortune 100 company. His other jingles include, Planters Peanuts and Milk Bone Dog Biscuits. He also received numerous awards[citation needed] for the film: "Wes's Way" the story of a young boy from Reston Virginia, Wes Suter, who won 8 Gold medals in gymnastics at the Junior Olympics. The film was written, directed and produced by Mr. Battiloro in conjunction with The Presidents Counsel on Physical Fitness and stars, Frank Gifford, Senator Bill "Dollar Bill" Bradley of New Jersey and Representative Jack Kemp of New York.

In the early 1990s he went on to consult to ABKCO Music and Film on The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus. In 2010, Battiloro, who is an accomplished guitarist and musician, was asked to produce a song written by Jim Dawson and Seth David Walter for "The Global Medical Relief Fund."[1] He teamed up with producer Tommy West and together with Jim Dawson, Seth David Walters produced "Put Them Back Together." The song remained at the top of the chart on CD BABY for over 3 weeks.

Recent career[edit]

Most recently Battiloro became the Managing Director of The Consultancy, a specialized business consultancy based out of New York servicing broadcasters, post production, audio and film companies around the world.
