John Dmello (also known as Janardan Khorate) is an Indian organic food farmer and businessman, also known as Saladbaba. John is the owner and chairman of Saladbaba Organic Foods.[1][2] As per the news, he is India's youngest organic farmer.[3]

Life and career[edit]

Janardan Khorate was born in a small village of Goa. Janardan witnessed his parents' struggles for necessities for the most of his life. He was adopted by a British couple David Gower and his wife, Michaela Kelemen. The couple moved to Goa after arriving from London a long time ago and started Ambrosia Organic Farm in 1993.[4]

They were pleased with Janardan's commitment and hard work. After preparing Janardan to succeed in business, David and his wife gave Khorate the Ambrosia Organic Farm in 2008. From here, Khorate became popular as Saladbaba.[3] He started his entrepreneurial journey as first rice cake manufacturer in Goa. Janardan was acknowledged as India's youngest organic farmer in 2015.[5][6]

John is now a businessman and has awards and honors to his credit.[7][8]
