Bouloussou Satyanarayanamourty (Telugu: బులుసు సత్యనారాయణమూర్తి, IAST: Bulusu Satyanārāyaṇamūrti) was son of Bouloussou Soubramaniom Sastroulou (సుబ్రహ్మణ్య శాస్త్రులు Subrahmaṇyaśāstrulu), a prominent politician of French Yanam during French colonial rule in Yanam in the early 20th century.[1] He belonged to Bouloussou family of Yanam. His elder brother was B. J. Sastry, a prominent electrical engineer[2] and philanthropist from same town.
Birth[edit]
He was born around c.1912 to Bouloussou Soubramaniom Sastroulou and Souryapracasamma (సూర్యప్రకాశమ్మ Sūryaprakāśamma) as their third child. He was named after Lord Veera Venkata Satyanarayana of Annavaram. His maternal uncle was Kala Venkata Rao, a freedom fighter, and former minister of Madras state and Andhra Pradesh. Influenced by his uncle and elder brother, he didn't opt to restore his French nationality when such an option was given after 1962 independence of French India.
Marriage[edit]
He married Lakshmi Narasamma, daughter of a Hari Somanadha Sastry and Annapurana, native of nearby Avidi village, during c. 1945. He had five children; 4 daughters and one son; named after his paternal grandfather. Krishna Chaitanya, engineer and researcher, is his paternal grandson.[3] He is well versed in Telugu and French languages.
Death[edit]
He died at Yanam on November 17 1979 at Government General Hospital.[4]
