John Everett Button (August 21, 1983 – Present) is an American poet, musician, and actor in Dallas, Texas.

Education

Button attended East Carolina University in the fall of 2002 to study philosophy. In 2006, Button graduated from East Carolina University. Button received his Master of Arts from Georgia State University, where he published his thesis, "Against Pyrrhonian Equipollence".[1]

Career

Poetry

Button is related to several poets, including a distant cousin, poet Sam Walter Foss, famous for his poem, "The House by the Side of the Road".[2] In the fall of 2010, Button published his first book, ‘’Reflexive Conversations’’.[3] In 2012, Button published his second book ‘’Romantic Riddles’’.[4]

Music

Button founded the American rock/alternative metal band MONSTAR in 2014 in Austin, Texas. In January 2015, MONSTAR released their debut EP, ‘’First Cut”. MONSTAR is currently in production of their second album.[5]

Film

Button first appeared on-screen in 2015 as an audience member in the comedy ‘’Divine Access’’. Later that year, he also played a paramedic in the thriller ‘’Harbinger’’.

Writing

In 2014, Button wrote a review of Arlo's food truck for Austin Food Magazine.[6]
