John Hogan (8 August 1939 – 20 July 2019) was an Irish poet and literary critic. He was an early contributor to Galway's annual Cúirt International Festival of Literature.[1][2]
Life
Hogan was born in and lived his life in Galway, Ireland. He was a regular contributor to the Writing in the West supplement of the Connacht Tribune in the early 1980s.[3]
Hogan was a first-cousin of Sir Patrick Hogan of New Zealand.[4] He contributed material used by Dianne Haworth in her biography of Patrick entitled 'Give a Man a Horse'.
