John "Jaycee" Cuijpers is a Dutch singer. He is best known as lead singer of the English heavy metal band Praying Mantis and collaborator on music projects by Arjen Lucassen. Cuijpers has played in many cover bands, like Van Hagar (Van Halen), Parris (Thin Lizzy) and Deo (Ronnie James Dio).[2]

Cuijpers first got into contact with Dutch rock musician Arjen Lucassen in 2004.[2] A year later his vocal performance of "Sail Away to Avalon" was released on the bonus DVD of the Ayreon album The Final Experiment. In 2017 Cuijpers, was asked to perform several songs for the Ayreon Universe live shows. In 2019, he performed the role of the Barbarian in the live performances of the rock opera Into the Electric Castle, Electric Castle Live and Other Tales. In 2023, Cuijpers fronted the newly founded band Arjen Lucassen's Supersonic Revolution, with their first release – Golden Age of Music.
