John McBryde (Local Historian)

John McBryde is a local historian of Mississippi, he wrote many articles about civil war history for the Daily Times Reader. He has had many occupations, most being a first responder, though he was also once a pastor. He is the director and founder of the McCormick Civil War Institute at Shenandoah University, which is located in Virginia. He currently lives in Columbus, MS, and teaches at a community college part-time.[1]
