John Rees (born 1951) is an Australian bass player who was a member of the band Men at Work from the years 1980 to 1984[1] appearing on the band first two studio albums Business as usual[2] and Cargo.[3]

Men at work (1980 - 1984)[edit]

Rees would join Men at work in 1980 through fellow bandmate and drummer Jerry Speiser. He would play bass on the bands first album 'business as usual' and did backing vocals for several of its songs, upon its release their in 1981 it proved to be very successful, reaching high chart positions in several countries and being honoured with several awards.

Post men at work career (1984 - present)[edit]

Rees would later become a music teacher in Melbourne, Australia. He would also play bass guitar and violin for beggs2differ, A long running Gippsland based group who play folk and rock and roll music
