John van der Starre
John van der Starre (born circa 1949) is a Dutch Paralympic swimmer from Rotterdam.[1] He represented the Netherlands at international competitions. He won a gold medal and a bronze medal at the 1968 Summer Paralympics.[2]
He won the gold medal in the 3x 50 m Medley Relay open event together with Cees Broekman, and Piet Makkes. Van der Starre swam in the relay the 50 m backstroke. He won the bronze medal in the 50 m Freestyle special class event.
All medalists of the 1968 Paralympics were honored by minister Klompé in The Hague.[3]
