In 2009, he joined fellow rapper Yakki Divioshi and started a group called Hella Copper Kids(HC or HCK) and released the single "Ask Ya Hoe Bout Me" featuring Future (rapper). Soon after, in 2010, his group collaborated with local artist Kwony Cash to create an Atlanta anthem, "Smash on Who." He released his debut mixtape, Cinco in May 2013. In May 2014, he released his second mixtape and debuted with new label QC, John Popi, which included the hit singles "No Choice" and "Real Hundreds". The mixtape also achieved over 1 million streams.
