Jon David Moses (born July 2, 1984 - Easington, England) A British Singer, Actor, Presenter and Influencer. Moses was a finalist on Andrew Lloyd Webber's ITV Superstar in 2012.[1] Moses was originally supposed to be the understudy in the event that one of the other ten contestants would have to drop out for any reason, however, Andrew Lloyd Webber saw his talent and made him the 11th contestant[2].[3] Moses worked with Melanie C, Dawn French, Amanda Holden and Jason Donovan. After Superstar Moses released his first EP "Better Man " in 2013[4],[5]and his album "Journey" in 2017 which hit number 5 in Classical Crossover.[6] Moses did play the role of Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar in the worlds largest production of the rock opera at Gloucester Cathedral in 2014.[7] In 2013 Moses began taking on leading roles in many pantomimes across the UK. He has performed in Cinderella, Snow White,[8] Rapunzel[9], Sleeping Beauty[10], Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella[11]. Performing every year until the Covid pandemic interrupted the theatre industry. Moses was the director and owner of L'Amore Entertainment which provided entertainment for events as well as providing teaching workshops for national stage schools[12]. Moses and his wife now own and operate the award winning Stage Door Performing Arts School for children ages 4-16.[13]

Jon Moses was born to John Moses and Victoria Moses on 2 July, 1984 in Easington UK. Jon began showing signs of his future musical career at a very young age. He was hit by the musical theatre bug at Shotton Hall seniors school when he landed the lead role in Oliver. He received a scholarship for private classical voice training for four years in Durham County[14]. He was then selected to perform with the County Durham Youth Choir[15]. He performed for four years as a first tenor, participating in large concerts. Jon went to work in the public sector for several years. He worked at Job Centre Plus where he headed up the training and evaluation for the EBOST Project and Jobs Warehouse. He then went on to be a manager for EDS. But music was Jon's destiny so he left the private sector and took the first major step in his music career. He booked a flight to Majorca and became the nightly entertainment at Woodies Bar. Jon met his wife Claire after taking a position on a production team in Devon UK. He then worked in production teams in London and Portugal where he was spotted by a talent scout. He toured the UK and the world holiday sector for several years[14]. Jon's dad and his sister Deon submitted him for the ITV Superstar competition. Jon was made the eleventh contestant by Andrew Lloyd Webber himself and went on to perform in front of tens of thousands, winning the hearts of viewers and judges alike[16]. Jon became a finalist in the competition but would be eliminated on the 9th show.[14]

2010 to 2012 - Jon Moses was a touring male vocalist for G Casino, First Choice, Bourne Leisure, Mecca and Park Resorts.

2012 - 2013 - Jon Moses was a contestant on ITV's hit show Andrew Lloyd Webber's Superstar[1]. Andrew Lloyd Webber was searching for the singer/actor that would play his next Jesus in his mega hit Jesus Christ Superstar. Jon was one of eleven contestants vying for the role[2]. Jon became a finalist but was eliminated on the 9th episode[17].[3] After Superstar his career took off. In December of 2012 and January 2013 he played Prince Valiant in Sleeping Beauty for PHA Pantos at the Connaught Theatre in Worthing UK[18] He went on national tour as the star act for Bourne Leisure[19] Owners events. In the spring of 2013 Jon did a national tour for Enchanted Entertainment playing Flynn Ryder in the stage production of Rapunzel.[9] Between theatre engagements Jon worked with internet sensation Miranda Sings showing off his comedic talents.[12] To top off 2013 Jon played the headline role of Beast/Count in Beauty and The Beast at the Pomegranate/Chesterfield Theater.[20] Jon debuted his first album "Better Man" in 2013[21] which featured the popular song " Crying" by Roy Orbison

2014 - Jon went on a national tour with Paul Burling and set sail on Fred Olsen Cruise lines as the visiting star act in early 2014. In March of 2014 Jon played was cast to play the role of Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Gloucester Cathedral[22], the first time Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock opera would be performed in a UK Cathedral[23] After starring in Jesus Christ Superstar with Ria Keen who played Mary Magdelene he joined Ms. Keen again at the Swan Theatre for You're The Voice featuring Ria Keens group Voices Unlimited.[24] To top out the year Jon hosted and performed at the Pride in Bedfordshire Awards[25]

2015-2016 - In 2015 Jon began his Musicality Tour[12] In 2015 and 2016 he stepped into the role of Judge for the Teen Star National Competition[26] Moses helped to kick off the BBL finals at the O2 Arena in London with a performance at Hoops Aid[27] Ending 2015 and starting the new year Jon toured Warner Leisure Hotels in the Westend To Warner Tour[28]

2017 - 2018 Jon Moses worked with writer/composer Scott Alan as a guest artiste at Zedel's in London singing Mr. Alan's original song "Kiss The Air".[6] Jon debuted his album "Journey" in 2017 and soon saw it rise to number 5 on the classical crossover charts.[6] He also opened the BBL finals at the O2 Arena as guest artiste with rapper Tinchy Stryder[29][30].[31] Ending 2017 and beginning 2018 Jon stepped back on the stage as the Prince in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre with Sue Pollard, LaVoix and Andy Collins[32][33][34]

2019 - 2020 - Jon became a leader for the Selby District's organization of B-Vocal. This organization works with people to overcome challenges with anxiety, depression, PTSD and other mental health disorders that effect daily living.[35] Jon was the headliner at Fizz Festivals Proms and Prosecco in the Park at Chetwynd Deer Park[36] Once again Jon Moses found himself onstage as the Prince in UK Productions production of Cinderella at the Sunderland Theatre with Scarlett Moffat and Gemma Naylor.[37][38][11]

2020 -2021 All bookings and live appearances canceled due to Covid-19.
