Jongole Mitin Mashi is an upcoming 2023 Indian Bengali detective film directed by Arindam Sil, produced by Rupa Datta and presented by Camellia Production Pvt. Ltd. The film starring Koel Mallick and Vinay Pathak, is based on the "Saranda Shoytan", a story by the novelist Suchitra Bhattacharya. Mallick portrays the fictional detective character Mitin Masi once again[1], created by Bhattacharya. The film was released on 19 October 2023.

Plot[edit]
Mitin Mashi, a detective with a keen sense of justice, goes on a vacation with her family to the Saranda forest in Jharkhand. There, she discovers the dark secrets of the illegal elephant poaching trade that threatens the lives of the gentle giants and the local tribes. She decides to take on the challenge of exposing and stopping the ruthless criminals, using her wit and courage. But the forest is not a friendly place for outsiders. Mitin and her family have to face many dangers and obstacles, such as lack of communication, wild animals, and hostile terrain
Production[edit]
Principal photography for the film started in May 2023, with most of the shoot taking place at the Saranda Forest in Jharkhand along with some important scenes in Alipore Central Jail[2]
Release[edit]
The film will be distributed by PVR Inox Pictures and will be released on 19 October 2023, coinciding with Durga Puja.
