Jordan Tabach-Bank is a third generation American pawnbroker and one of the on-screen buyers for the Discovery Channel's reality television series Final Offer.

Career[edit]

Tabach-Bank received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his juris doctorate from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in June 2006 and continues to maintain an active membership.[1] Following law school, Tabach-Bank became the co-owner[2] and CEO of Beverly Loan Company, a pawn brokerage founded by his grandfather in 1938.[3] In 2013 he expanded the company, opening a new location named New York Loan Company in New York City. Tabach-Bank has explained that most of his clients are white collar individuals, specifically from the entertainment industry and has been referred to as the "pawn broker to the stars".[4] Additional clients for Tabach-Bank include professionals and businesspeople, and his borrowers redeem their collateral over 90% of the time.[5] The largest pawn loan that Tabach-Bank ever made was over one million dollars.[6]

Tabach-Bank is also an on-screen buyer featured on the Discovery Channel's reality television series Final Offer,[3] and is the only pawn-broker featured on the show.[7] Tabach-Bank appeared in all six episodes of the show's first season.[8] He has also been interviewed by the media regarding the economics of gold, personal loan responsibility, and general news related to the pawn industry,[9] including the local economics in Beverly Hills.[10][11] He was the public relations chair for the California Pawnbrokers Association until 2012[12] and he currently sits on the Board of Directors of the National Pawnbrokers Association, both of which he has represented in the media.[13]
