Josephine Gillan is an English actress, best known in the recurring role of the courtesan Marei in Game of Thrones. Her character first appeared second season, has recurred in every season since, and is expected to appear in the upcoming seventh season.[1][2][3] A fan favourite she makes regular appearances at fan conventions such as the Edinburgh Comic Con and many other conventions.[4][5][6]
In 2017, she was involved in filming the short feature "Bloody Jews" about how Orthodox Jewish women are controlled by rabbinical law. Filming took place at the North London Reform Synagogue and the Finchley Reform Synagogue.[7][8]
