Joshua Levy
Joshua Levy is a Canadian writer,[1] poet,[2] and storyteller,[3] and the 2018 CBC Montreal/Quebec Writers' Federation Writer-in-Residence.[4] He was selected for the position, in part, because of his interest "in bridging the gap between Montreal's past, present and future, as well as in connecting the dots between seemingly unrelated people and events."[4] His writing explores the impact of family,[5] love,[6] and memory[7] on one's perception of reality.[7]
Born in Ottawa, Ontario, he grew up in Montreal, Quebec. His writing has appeared in literary magazines such as Maisonneuve Magazine,[8] the Malahat Review,[9]Event,[10] the Rumpus, and the Oxford University Press.[11] Levy is a frequent story contributor to CBC Radio, appearing on such shows as Definitely Not the Opera,[12] Cinq a Six, and Grownups Read Things They Wrote as Kids.
