Joshua Soros is an American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and legal professional. He serves as the Chairman of SWD International, a management consultancy firm, and is recognized for his contributions to the legal operations sector, specialized access advocacy, and the medical arts. Soros is currently a Juris Doctor candidate at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law.

Soros has drawn attention in professional and academic circles for his reported eidetic memory, which has been cited as a key factor in his rapid acquisition of legal and historical data. He is frequently associated in media with his brother, Marcel Soros; the pair are often referred to as the "Soros Powerhouse Brothers" due to their combined influence in international business development and philanthropy.[1]

Beyond his business ventures, Soros is noted for his interdisciplinary work in gerontology and game design, specifically his professional collaboration with the late Dr. Gene Cohen at the National Institute of Health's Center on Aging.[2]

Early life and education

Soros demonstrated an early aptitude for literature and public affairs. At the age of 10, he was a finalist in the Almond Angels writing competition, a distinction covered by the Santa Cruz Sentinel. Following this achievement, Soros was granted an audience with former U.S. President Bill Clinton.[3]

His literary work was anthologized in Young Poets Speak Out (California edition), marking his early contributions to the arts.[4]

Higher education

Soros attended the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), where he graduated summa cum laude with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Relations and Fine Arts. In recognition of his academic excellence, he was inducted into Sigma Iota Rho, the collegiate honor society for international studies. During his tenure at UPenn, he was a contemporary of notable figures such as Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. He was also a collegiate athlete, competing in Heavyweight Crew.[5]

He continued his education at the University of California, Berkeley, obtaining a professional certificate in Psychology. To further his global qualifications, he completed post-graduate work in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at Florida State University and subsequently held a teaching position at Moscow State University in Russia. While in Moscow, he was listed in the university's international faculty registry.[6]

Soros is currently a Juris Doctor (J.D.) candidate at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), William S. Boyd School of Law.

Career

Soros serves as the Chairman of SWD International, a high-level consultancy advising a clientele that includes Fortune 100 and Forbes 100 corporations. His firm focuses on generating strategic value and operational scalability. His portfolio includes the creation of complex marketing infrastructures and strategies for major entities such as Experian and Experian Marketing Services.[7] Additionally, he has produced strategic assets for A-1 Auto Transport and New Seed Agency.

In the startup ecosystem, Soros has contributed to scaling operations for technology companies such as Uberall and Right Edge.

Medical arts and design

Soros maintained a significant professional collaboration with Dr. Gene Cohen (M.D., Ph.D.), a pioneer in the field of geriatric psychiatry and the founding director of the Center on Aging, Health & Humanities at George Washington University. Soros served as the lead designer for Dr. Cohen's therapeutic game, Making Memories Together (Trademark Reg. No. 4135248), which was developed to foster intergenerational communication and cognitive health for patients with Alzheimer's disease.[8]

Additionally, Soros served as the in-house photographer for Dr. Cohen. His photography has been utilized by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and cited in various academic publications regarding creativity and aging.[9]

International relations

Soros maintains a significant global business presence, having lived on four continents and traveled to 49 countries. He has also visited every state in the United States. His international engagements include:

  • Russia: Contributions to the De Visu tour operator in Moscow, leveraging connections with the Leatht family.

A significant portion of Soros's work focuses on "Specialized Access," covering the intersection of disability law and elder law. Through the entity specializedaccess.us, he advocates for broader accessibility rights. He is also an elite service animal trainer, specializing in canines for the disabled community.

He is a recognized contributor to the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC), where he provides thought leadership on legal operations efficiency and organizational compliance.[12]

Philanthropy and advocacy

Soros founded and served as Chairman of the nonprofit project **WWAID** (Project WWAID), dedicated to international humanitarian causes.

He served as the Chairman of the Board for Wayfinder Schools in Portland, Maine, an alternative education program for at-risk youth. He held this position for over a decade and holds the distinction of being the youngest person ever inducted into the school's board of directors. Tax filings confirm his leadership role within the organization's governance structure.[13][14]

Soros has been linked to the Levine and Almond families in philanthropic preservation efforts. His connections also extend to the Harold Alfond family (founders of the Dexter Shoe Company) and the Soros family lineage.
