Josie Taveras
Jose "Josie" Taveras (born April 12, 1989) is an American boxing manager based out of Brooklyn, New York. Taveras currently manages Contender Mikkel LesPierre[1] and prospect Khalid Twaiti.[2]
Taveras made headline when he tested positive for COVID-19 in one of the first cards since the pandemic hit, which caused the LesPierre-Jose Pedraza main event to be postponed.[3][4]
Career[edit]
Taveras is a Brooklyn native who works out of Gleason's Gym.[5] He was brought in the boxing industry by well-know veteran Juan Laporte and starting managing in 2014.
Taveras guided LesPierre to a 20-0 record with no promoter before signing with Lou Dibella's DiBella Entertainment in 2018.[6]
