The Journal for Religion, Film and Media is a biannual peer-reviewed academic journal that covers research in the broad field of religion and media, with a particular interest in audiovisual and interactive forms of communication.[1] The journal was established in 2015 and is published by Schüren Verlag on behalf of the University of Graz. The founding editors-in-chief are Daria Pezzoli-Olgiati (Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich) and Christian Wessely (University of Graz).

The journal is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals and Ulrich's Periodicals Directory.
