Journal of Ankara Studies (TR: Ankara Araştırmaları Dergisi) is an interdisciplinary refereed journal published biannually by Koç University Vehbi Koç Ankara Studies Research Center (VEKAM) since 2013.
It's a bilingual journal containing articles in Turkish and English about the cultural, political and economic development of Ankara and its environs, the geological transformation and contemporary urban issues in the area.[2] The first issue of the journal was published in 2013, at the 90th anniversary of the declaration of Ankara as the country's capital.[3][4]
The first part of the journal is dedicated to original research articles while the second part on opinion papers.[5] The main purpose of the journal is to increase scientific research on Ankara's history, culture, geography, economy and all other related issues; and bring them to public attention.[6] It's published in June and December.
