Julian Feder (December 14, 2003) is an American actor who is best known for acting in the feature film, I Hate Kids starring Tom Everett Scott, Tituss Burgess and Rhea Seehorn.[1] In 2019, he starred in the film, Walkaway Joe, alongside Jeffrey Dean Morgan and David Strathairn.[2]

Early Life[edit]

Feder was Born in Tokyo and raised in Singapore. [3]After recurring on “Serangoon Road” for HBO Asia, Feder went on to land his first leading role in the feature film “Wiener Dog Nationals,” and subsequently its sequel, “Wiener Dog Internationals.”[4]

Career[edit]

In 2020, Julian Feder starred in the action drama “Doorman” playing opposite Ruby Rose and Jean Reno. [5]Feder also recently starred in the indie comedy “I Hate Kids” (released January 2019). Appearing alongside [[Tituss Burgess[[ (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) and Tom Everett Scott (La La Land), Feder plays the lead role of Mason, the surprise 13-year-old son of a life-long bachelor (Scott), who he finds with the help of a self-proclaimed psychic (Burgess).

Feder can also be seen in the critically acclaimed, award-winning indie film “A Boy Called Po”, opposite Christopher Gorham. Inspired by a true story, the film follows Po (played skillfully by Feder) a gifted child with autism who loses his mother to cancer and is unable to communicate his sense of loss to his father. As father and son struggle to deal with life after mom, they begin to withdraw into their own worlds. [6] Additional television and film credits include NBC's “Community,” TNT's “Rizzoli & Isles,” and the award-winning short horror film, “Itsy Bitsy Spiders.”[7]

Personal[edit]

Aside from acting, Feder keeps active by playing tennis, baseball, ultimate Frisbee and ping pong. He is also interested in history, art, and antiquities such as Japanese Samurai armor. Feder is extremely active within the autism community, and has participated in multiple walks and fundraising efforts for various autism charities. Feder resides in Los Angeles with his parents.
