Julian Hoxter is a British screenwriter, consultant, author and educator.[1] He's best known for his screenwriting guide and accompanying blog, Write What You Don't Know: An Accessible Manual For Screenwriters.[2][3]
Career[edit]
Hoxter studied at the University of East Anglia and the UCLA. He's worked on several features as a writer and story consultant, such as the romantic drama Kiss Me Again (credited as J.D. Hoxter) and documentaries such as Interior. Leather Bar..[4]
Hoxter is the Screenwriting Coordinator for Cinema at San Francisco State University. He has authored several books on the writing process and filmmaking in addition to Write What You Don't Know, including The Pleasures of Structure: Learning Screenwriting Through Case Studies and Off The Page: Screenwriting in the Era of Media Convergence.[5][6]
