Julian Shapiro (born January, 1989) is a Canadian web developer and technology entrepreneur. He is a contributor to open source projects, and is known for his development of Velocity.js and Libscore.[1] He served as a judge for Awwwards[2] and is a recipient of Stripe's open source grant award.[3]
He has written on web development and startup topics for Smashing Magazine,[4][5] Mozilla Hacks,[6][7] and The Next Web.[8][9] In 2015, Peachpit published Shapiro's Web Animation using JavaScript book.[10]
Since 2015, Shapiro has produced and hosted a technology startup interview series on TechCrunch.[11]
