Biography[edit]

Justin "Pistola" Hooker is an American Professional Gamer. Justin was born and raised in Ansonia a small town in Connecticut. He had a passion for video games since he was a little kid. Justin got into competitive gaming in 2006 and made a name for myself in 2007, when he attended his first MLG event in Charlotte where he placed 3rd in the Free-For-All at the age of 14. He showed his individual skill by winning the free-for-all competitions at MLG Meadowlands 2007 and MLG Chicago 2007. With that performance Justin landed on his first major 4v4 team, Ambush, during the 2008 season where he helped his team place top 8 amoung top tier squads. Justin then went on to join top teams Triggers Down (2009), Final Boss (2010), and Instinct (2011) during his Halo 3 & Halo: Reach career. In 2013, Pistola competed in the Halo 4 Global Championships, where he placed 2nd. Justin has 9 MLG tournament wins for the titles of Halo 3 & Halo: Reach, including a National Championship in both. He is one of the most successful players in competitive Halo history, with nineteen major event wins including two MLG National Championships (2010 and 2011) and the Fall 2016 HCS Pro League Finals. Justin has since retired from professional gaming and is now a streamer on Twitch repping the Call of duty scene.

  • Pistola is often referred to as "the wizard".
  • Pistola is one of only two players with major event wins in 5 separate Halo games (Halo 3, Halo: Reach, Halo 4, Halo 2: Anniversary and Halo 5: Guardians), the other being OGRE2. Pistola has also won FFA events in Halo 2.
  • Pistola is considered by many pros to be one of the hardest players in the game to eliminate due to his keen ability to stay alive.
