Eric Kaiser (born September 9, 1970), known by the stage name K-RINO, is a rapper and radio host from South Park, Houston,tx. He is the founder of the South Park Coalition, a rap organization formed in 1987.

Writer John Nova Lomax of the Houston Press described him as the "conscience of Houston rap, king of the Houston battle rappers, and a true pioneer of southern hip hop". In November of 2016 he released 7 solo albums on the same day. His current discography consists of over 40 studio albums.

Biography[edit]

K-Rino started rapping in 1983. He attended Ross Sterling High School (Houston) at the same time as other notable contemporaries such as DJ Screw and Fat Pat (rapper). His early influences in Hip hop music were Melle Mel, Run-DMC, T La Rock and KRS-One. In 1993, he released his first solo "Stories from the Black Book" on his label Electric City Records. His career as a lyricist has now spanned over 30 years. In 2014, he was inducted into the Houston music Hall of Fame. In early 2017 he became the host of his own radio show (K-Rino Radio) on KPFT in Houston, where he covers social issues and interviews members of the music industry as well as social activists.
