Campus[edit]

Away from the dust and din of city life, the college sits in the lap of nature, KMBB boasts of an ambience of urban feel with a rural setting. Spread over a patch of 40 acres, the campus is an integrated one with complete Wi-Fi coverage. It houses the Academic Block, Conference hall, Library, Training & Placement cell, Cafeteria, Co-operative store, Canteen, Play ground and Hostels. The Girls’ Hostel is already functional while the Boys’ Hostel is about to be completed. In an adjacent patch of land staff quarters are being planned. The landscaping and building designs bear the imprint of modern architecture.

Admissions[edit]

Admission to 1 yr. B.Tech. courses is open to Rank holders in J.E.E. (main) and O.J.E.E.. Diploma holders with Rank from appropriate authority can be admitted in 2nd year B.Tech..

Scholarship[edit]

with financial support from ‘SAMBAD AMA ODISHA’, KMBB runs a scholarship scheme^[3] of ₹ 2,00,000 for 4 year Degree B.Tech.course and Rs 1,50,000 for candidates admitted after diplama. A student, inorder to avail of the scholarship, must have secured 70%in 10th and 50% in 12th/ +2 examination.

The Learning process[edit]

KMBB is proud of having a happy blend of youth and experience as its faculty strength .The learning style at KMBB revolves around the objective of making an able technocrat out of every student. We strive to achieve it by exposing our students to”learning by doing” in our well equipped labs and workshops. Where ever possible, a real life project is used to facilitate learning where teachers are partners with students. Teachers are available at hand to clear doubts and provide guidance. Regular hostel visits by faculty is a part of our routine.

Beyond the classroom[edit]

Our college has the best possible ambience to ease the academic pressure through creative co-curricular and extra-curricular engagements for the young students. Plenty of physical activities (sports and games),displaying finer skill in dance, song and paintings help building a wholesome college life. Apart from the cultural functions and sports meet, the annual technical extravanza is a perfect platform to expose the latest innovative skills within our students.The college has a chapter of SPICMACAY, which regularly organizes events on classical vocal & instrumental music.

KMBB is integral to all the people-friendly programmes of ‘SAMBAD-AMA ODISHA Charitable Trust’ Organizing Blood-donation camps is a regular feature. Our students often visit village in the periphery to create awareness on ‘SWATCHHA BHARAT’.

Placement and Industry link[edit]

We have a Training and Placement cell, manned by experts with industry link. It remains connected to potential employers round the year. In the top of our placement record, we could provide jobs to 85%of our final year students in the looming depression year of 2020. KMBB is a registered college with EDII (Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India), a Govt. of India Organization. It organizes training & awareness programmes for would be ‘start-ups’ in the college at regular intervals .Leading corporate houses of the country are regulars in KMBB campus for recruitment. They have committed to continue the practice in future also. KMBB has roped in a good number of industrial houses to provide “paid-internship” to our students after 3rd yr. B.Tech. This is a definite step towards gainful employment.
