KYVE [kaɪv from English "archive"] is a decentralised Cryptoprotocol, which archives data from blockchains to Arweave. To validate the data KYVE uses nodes that upload and validate data. The goal of KYVE is to archive blockchain data securely and efficiently.[1]

The founders of KYVE are Fabian Riewe and John Letey. The developers founded the company in February 2021 with a base in Germany.

    History

After foundation in February 2021, the company raised 3.87 million US-dollars with two investment rounds from venture capitalists like Permanent Ventures, Hypersphere, Coinbase Ventures and Mechanism Capital.[2]

The project is technically and financially supported by several blockchains, for example Solana, Avalanche, Near, Cosmos and Arweave.[3]

In summer 2021 the testnet was launched with more than ten thousand users participating in the development process until now.
