Kadie Karen Diekmeyer is a Tiktoker, YouTuber and lifestyle influencer for veganism. She claims to be a vegan for four years already, along with her Golden Retriever, Bella, with an estimated two to three years of being vegan. Much is not yet known about her, including her family and education however it has been noted that she is of German descent. She also claims to have been a registered nurse, prior to becoming an elementary school teacher.

Online activity and criticism[edit]

Recently, she has been infamous for reportedly "following" and "stalking" celebrities and other influencers like herself on the internet, most notoriously on the social media and video-sharing application, 'TikTok'. Her latest targets have been:

Because of this, she has been taking fire from several communities such as the LGBTQ+ community, even a few other vegans and controversialists against her agenda, which she and several of her supporters have called 'veganphobics' or anti-vegans.

Of course, this wasn't new but many have stated that she has taken the vegan community to the worst level of damage yet, with some comments saying that they quit being vegan prior to their decisions to become one, stating that they "don't want to be like her". She has also been called a wannabe and delusional, after calling everyone; both her supporters and opposition, her "students", as well as the creation of alter egos and personas, which have all been remarked as 'cringe'.

Before the controversy[edit]

Kadie began becoming a noticeable Tiktoker, after posting a video of her standing in front of a McDonald's, singing "Eating animals is wrong, McDonald's" while dancing to it and playing a ukelele. As she became more noticed by the Tiktok community, the vegans of the Tiktok community started supporting her, but of course, this came with opposition. Not all users supported the vegan animal rights activists and their motive, with many saying that they are "extremists", with some even duetting her post and calling her out.

She then posted videos on her dog, Bella, and much more attention had gathered after netizens were displeased at the lack of nutrition and proper feeding that Bella should have been receiving. After this opposition, more vegans started lifting her up and supporting her, whilst many more from the opposition called her out and classifying her as an "animal abuser" herself for giving Bella a vegan diet. This has led users to speculate that Bella's happiness in Kadie's posts are either forced or a rare occasion.

After June 2020, her reputation as an animal rights activist and vegan influencer has grown but in a negative aspect, with her comparing carnists or non-vegans to racists, sexists, and even Adolf Hitler himself. Her extreme usage of such concepts and terminologies would serve to become her rise to an opposed fame.

Because of her self-proclaimed "fame", several users have sent death threats after Kadie after her extreme comparisons to non-vegans for not changing their behaviors and moral compass.

On the 27th of August, 2020, she recieved even more loathing after she posted a video saying "Change your religion like you change your underwear", which sparked extreme backlash, especially from religious users and even priests of the clergy. This has created a considerably large gap between vegans and nearly thousands if not millions of religious people, with some going so far as to call her a "satanist" or "atheist".

Interactions with Other Tiktokers[edit]

John Robert Bell-ThatVeganTeacher "war"[edit]

After several heinous and malicious posts, a fellow Tiktoker and Tiktok critic by the name of John Robert Bell became one of the first major figures that joined the wave of opposition against Kadie. His most notable call-out against Kadie was when Kadie threatened a young girl that she would go to hell for not being a vegan. This provoked a defensive response from John Robert Bell and many other groups of opposition, especially from users associated with religion and the clergy itself. The girl thanked John for reassuring her, but Kadie did not stop there: instead she insisted that John become vegan and join them. Her future videos would then remark John as a "good guy" despite more arguments and insults from John and Kadie, including their respective followers, being thrown at each other. The online "clash" is currently ongoing and has sparked many more users to join either side.

Organ donation statement[edit]

In mid-September of 2020, Kadie shared a video on her Tiktok page, explaining why she wouldn’t donate her organs to “meat eaters” who she and a handful of others saw as "evil" and "murderers". In her video, she nonchalantly states she wouldn’t bother helping anyone in need just because of the fact they eat meat or animal produce, and would only donate them to people who were animal rights activists, those of which she calls "true vegans"[4]. Majority of her definitions have come from vegan websites such as The Vegan Society, a handful of which have not yet been authenticated or verified by academic dictionaries such as the Oxford Dictionary of English.

People were outlasted and infuriated by her comments, one user saying “Tell that to a dying child.” Some others have also called her evil and a hypocrite, and others malevolently claiming that karma will pay a visit.

“Attempt” sue on Mobile game[edit]

In early October, 2020, Kadie was outraged that an unknown user had utilized her public voice clips (that were taken from her account on TikTok) and placed it in their mobile game that was guessed to have never been released. In the game, Kadie makes an appearance as a moving obstacle (the design is taken from the offensive video where she mocks someone’s death), along with her voice. Tagging the user in her video, she states:

“This young man thinks it’s okay to use my voice for his video game to make money. What you’re doing is illegal, and if you continue to do this, I will be suing your ass off, and I’ll win in the end.”

Later in the video, Miss Kadie admitted that she would come to terms with the creator (which never actually took place) if only he had changed the meat (which was the in-game currency) into vegan meat. Some people laughed at her statement, saying there was no point in changing the name just for her gratification.

Makayla’s investigation[edit]

NOTE: This section is still in the editing process.

For several months (November 2020 - Present), Tiktok user Makayla has been doing a personal investigation on Miss Kadie. After going through her page, she and some others came to notice that she has been in possession of several alternate accounts dedicated to spying on other creators and spam commenting on her videos to boost her chances on the Tiktok post algorithm. Although TikTok only allows two accounts per user, Miss Kadie has violated this guideline, and is known to have a total of 27 accounts that have been proven to be hers, yet Tiktok has not yet struck her down. It is still being debated amongst opposition users whether she has even more accounts or if 27 is the final number.

Current situation[edit]

She is still being called out by a considerable number of several users to this day, which has led her to limit her comments to her mutuals only, which is absolutely limited to fellow vegans only, with zero exclusions. Some users have been able to sneak their insults into her comments through Q&A's on tiktok and her Instagram platform, but her ignorance and disregard for the comments have become the root of the rapidly increasing opposition. Some supporters like Stefania Ferrario have praised her, with some even hailing her as a "hero". Numerous vegans are also turning against her, saying that she's "misrepresenting the philosophy and mission of vegans" and "delivering it in a profane way" due to her observed frequent usage of cursing and slurs. Her recent attempts to convert several celebrities and online influencers have caused an intense boom in opposition, with a majority of the opposition currently originating from game fandoms and anime fandoms, referred to as "weebs".
