Kai is a fictional character in the CGI television show: Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu. which is owned and produced by the LEGO Group. Kai was created by the Ninjago screenwriters Dan and Kevin Hageman. He is the main protagonist of the four pilot episodes: Way of the Ninja, The Golden Weapon, King of Shadows and Weapons of Destiny. He is currently the deuteragonist of the series.
He is the current Elemental Master of Fire[1][2] and is the wielder of the Sword of Fire and dual katanas. He is also a Master of Spinjitzu.
Description[edit]
Kai wears a red gi to represent his fire power. He wields dual swords for combat and His Elemental power is Fire. Kai has brown spiky, fire-like hair. He has a bandage near his right eyebrow, which has been there for a while, possibly because he thinks it looks cool. before season 8, Kai's hair was a slightly darker shade of brown. Kai is a 17 year old teenager. In The Lego Ninjago Movie, Kai appears to be a supporting character who keeps his ninja identity a secret.
Abilities[edit]
Kai is the Elemental Master of Fire. He can manipulate fire in any shape he wants, and generate fire from his hands. Besides being the Elemental Master of Fire, He is a skilled martial artist and wields dual katanas and the sword of fire. He temporarily received Golden Power[E 1] in the Digiverse when he (and the rest of the three ninja) were fighting against the Overlord virus. When Kai was fighting against Master Chen and his army he temporarily received the Staff of Elements which he was able to use Lloyd's Elemental Energy, Zane's Elemental Ice and Jay's Elemental Lightning Powers[E 2]. He was able to unleash and unlock[E 3] his Elemental Dragon within and was also capable to use a martial art called Airjitzu[E 4], made by Sensei Yang.

There are numerous LEGO Minifigures of Kai as well as the Lego sets that go with it. There are also other toys of Kai like the Kai plushie. There is also a Kai alarm clock.
Crossovers or other media[edit]
Kai has been seen in other media too as a crossover character. He briefly appears in The Lego Movie: Enter Ninjago short clip ending riding his skateboard in Emmet's House with the rest of the main three ninja. He appears in the LEGO crossover game: LEGO Brawl, as a playable character with numerous other crossover characters. He also appears in a LEGO Minecraft Lego set[3], also featuring Villagers and Illagers. He is a playable character in the LEGO crossover video game: LEGO Dimensions, with other crossover characters.
