Kairo Keyz is known for his singles like Gang,[3] Went Up,[4] Bruv and Burberry[5] and his EP New Jazz.[6][7] He started making music in his early teens and taught himself to record after his father bought him a laptop.[8] He first got attention in 2021 and later broke through in 2024 with Gang which passed 90 million streams.[9][10] He has worked with Central Cee, AntsLive and Squeeks and performed at Wireless Festival in 2024.[11][12] He describes his sound as UK New Jazz.[13][14]

Keyz is associated with the emerging UK New Jazz movement,[15] a sound built on heavy 808s, experimental video-game style synths and bouncy trap rhythms combined with South London storytelling.[16][17] For his debut EP ''New Jazz'' released 18 August 2025 via Hitmaker Music Group,[18][19] he worked with producers including 808Melo, Tweeko, Young Chencs and Saldado.[20][21] The 9-track project includes "AURA", "PADLOCK", "GANGSTA FEELING" and "OKAY" and was positioned as a blueprint for his style.[22] Following the EP he released singles including "PILATES (YES YOU CAN)", "SHEN YENG", "Matching" with Twin S and in 2026 "GONE" with P T K and "HUNDRED K".[23] He has previously collaborated with Central Cee on "Back2Back", as well as AntsLive and Squeeks,[24] and made his festival debut at Wireless Festival in Finsbury Park in July 2024.[25][26]
