Kale
Kale is an indietronica-jam band from New Paltz, NY. The genre-blending indietronica jam trio combines its love of danceable electronic rhythms, soaring melodies, and energetic hooks into an improvisational channel that allows for deep exploration of the musical cosmos. Career[edit]
The band was officially formed in April of 2022, months after the three members had already started regularly jamming together. All three members had previously been members of different bands, all in their local scene, who had often been billed on shows together. The band's first official show was opening for Connecticut jam band Eggy in June of 2022. The band embarked on their first regional tour in the Fall of 2022, playing 16 shows in three different states.
2023 was a profound year for Kale performing over 60 shows throughout the Northeast. Some notable performances include three record-breaking sold out headlining shows at their hometown venue Snugs in New Paltz, NY, a sold out headlining Bitter End in New York City, a Twiddle after-party at the Paramount Theatre, their first festival performance at the Catskill Mountain Jubilee, and many more. The band was able to share the stages with many of their musical influences, such as the Disco Biscuits, Twiddle, and Spafford. Kale released their first studio single, 'Everybody's Falling' on October 27, 2023.
2024 saw the band grow their following, so far performing their biggest shows yet at venues such as Lark Hall in Albany, NY, Mercury Lounge in New York, New York, Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY, and many more. The band released their second studio single, 'Pave the Way', on May 24, 2024. Kale is slated to release their debut album in October of 2024.
