Kalkine was founded in 2014 by Kunal Sawhney with the aim of offering investment advice to " Do It Yourself" investors to their subscribers based on value investing. This independent equities research firm[1], provides recommendations to its subscribers about which stocks to buy, sell or hold. Kalkine picks companies from several sectors including Technology, Mining, Insurance, Banking, Industrial, Utilities, Healthcare, Real Estate, Financial Services, Retail, Media, Dividend and Food & Beverage. Kalkine started covering stocks in Australia but later expanded their presence to US and Europe.

Investment Objective:[edit]

The two main principles for investing in equities that Kalkine aims at are:-

  •      Protection against the erosion of one’s wealth due to inflation.
  •      Higher average return to investors over the years produced both by a dividend income exceeding the yield on bonds and the market value going up.

KALKINE aims to offer its clients with recommendations by appropriate timing and pricing to achieve that. KALKINE makes sure that investors look at both the qualitative and quantitative factors. When looking at the quantitative factors they consider items like capitalization, earnings, dividends, assets and liabilities. While considering the qualitative characteristics they look at the nature of business, position of company in the industry and other operating characteristics. Kalkine believes in long term investments and accordingly carefully picks recommendation. Kalkine also believes that investing in right assets would always generate better returns than the average.

Kunal Sawhney is the CEO of Kalkine and founded the firm in 2014 with the aim of offering the right investment advice to investors. Kalkine was founded with the goal to provide investment ideas to clients that enable them to navigate and achieve success in complex markets. Kalkine follow's the methodology of Benjamin Graham who was the great American economist and professional investor.
