Kalsi (caste)

Kalsi^[1]^[2](Ramgharia) is a prominent multi-linear faction found among the members of Backward class in Punjab^[3], considerable proportion also prevalent in the kamboj community.^[4] However, their exact origin is still unclear or disputed^[5], but some source attributes it probably Sikh name derived from the landholding household of Jat descent.^[6]
