Kalyan Rimal
Kalyan Rimal (Nepali: कल्याण रिमाल) is a famous Nepali singer, who heralded the modern Nepali songs since the fifties.[1][2]
He is also a lyricist and is often accompanied by his wife, Biju Rimal in numerous duets. Amongst his most famous songs are "Yo din ujjyalo bhayena" (this day has not been bright for me), "lajale timi jhuki dinda" (when you were embarrassed and looked down), "leka ko thiti besi ma ayau" (when you, a belle from the hills came down to the plains), etc. The married duo have over 200 songs in circulation by Radio Nepal, Ratna Records, Music Nepal and production houses.
