Kalyani Potdar
Kalyani Potdar also known as Kalyani Potdar Joshi, is a trained singer and actress of Marathi dramas and the film industry. Kalyani Potdar was born to singers Sangeet Bhushan, Pandit Jayaram Potdar and Maithili Potdar. Her father is a Harmonium and organ player and is well known for his contributions to Marathi Sangeet Nataks. Her grandfather was Shri Nana Rayrikar, a Marathi actor.
Personal life
Kalyani is married to Marathi actor, singer, and composer Vighnesh Joshi. She did her post graduate work from Delhi University. Some of her Sangeet Nataks include Sangeet Kanhopatra, Sangeet Vidhyaharan, Sangeet Murchchakatik, and Sant Gora Kumbhar. She also starred in a Marathi serial named Sant Namdev where she portrayed the role of Janabai, wife of Sant Namdev. She has acted in more than 3000 plays of Acharya Atre's Natak To Mee Navhech. In 2009, she received a playback award from Lata Mangeshkar for her role in Natak Shat Janma Shodhitanna.
She is currently doing her Sangeet Sadhana and Riyaj with Dr. Suhasini Koratkar of Bhindi Bazar Gharana.
