Kama.Sport is an Italian company that supports football clubs, match analysis, leagues, and football scouting. The company was founded in Paratico, Italy in 2019[10] and it focuses on Industry 4.0 sports projects[11].

Kama provides a technology hub for sports clubs and professionals. The purpose is to provide customers with a detailed performance analysis of athletes and clubs, patterns of play and tactical strategies. Kama developed a live tagging system integrated with a smart camera to generate automatic highlights and football commentaries.

Kama.Sport is Innovation Partner of Serie A[12][13]

Kama's motto is "Where Passion meets Data". The name was born from the fusion of the passion for sports with data analysis.

2017-2019: The idea[edit]

The Kama.Sport project started in October 2017, during the first Hackathon promoted by the Italian Football Federation[14] Davide Ragazzi (software engineer, CEO), Carlo Bertelli (physicist and finance graduate, CFO), and Nicola Bosio (software engineer, CTO) activities were already dealing with digital, web, and the industry 4.0. Kama created an service for the sports industry allowing end-users to exploit the available technologies and digital services.

2019-Present: Growth[edit]

Kama.Sport Srl, a software company included in the Italian register of innovative startups, was founded on June 13, 2019. Kama's initial valuation was around €2.5 million. In August 4, 2020, it rose to 3 million. In September 2020 Kama entered the market.

Three applications were released. The Team platform, designed for technical staff, the Kama mobile app conceived for football fans, and the live tagging service Tak created for academies and amateurs.

Since then, Kama succeed in building a relationship with clubs, staff and innovation partners, as Rafael Benítez, Maurizio Sarri[15][16], Luciano Spalletti[17], Roberto De Zerbi[18], Andrea Pirlo[1], Vincenzo Italiano, Filippo Inzaghi, S.S.C. Napoli[19], U.S. Sassuolo Calcio[20], Udinese Calcio, Gabriele Cioffi, Fabio Pecchia, Luigi Busà, NTT Data, Filippo Galli, Paolo Ghisoni (Sky Italia journalist and founder of La Giovane Italia), Pixellot, Stats, and Math&Sport.

On June 13, 2020 Kama has opened a new office in Brazil, called Kama.Brasil , and on June 2021 Kama has opened a new office in USA, called Kama.USA [21].

Today, Kama is an ecosystem of sports and technology specialists, such as computer engineers, physicists, mathematicians, data scientists, graphics, and usability experts. Kama.Sport srl has a capital of 103,250.00 euros. 80.93% of the company is owned by the three founders, while capital shareholders own 19.07%. Kama's current value is of 21 million euros[22] In addition, Kama owns 10% of Lumios SSD (campus and education in sport) and 10% of ACD. Ospitaletto, which in turn owns 37.5% of the ACF Brescia Women's Football SSD to RL.[23]

The Kama platform offers a pre and post game analysis dedicated to football teams and coaching staff. The platform is divided in 5 services: - Analitik, the service for the analysis and exploration of data and statistics - KRM, management service for clubs and staff where they can enter methodology and know-how by analyzing training sessions through GPS and athletic data integration - VideoK, analyze events and complex game scenarios - Skout, player search tool - TAK, tool for tag events and create highlights

Kama all-in-one[edit]

The Kama all-in-one is a service for all the stakeholders of football, from clubs and players to media and sports medical services football agents.
