Kani Thiru originally known as Karthika Agathiyan is an indian television celebrity cook and television host. She was a contestant on the Cooku with Comali (Season 2) in 2021, eventually winning the show.
Kani was much known on Makkal TV hosting the show called "Sol Vilaiyattu" in 2008 in which she made her first appearance in Kollywood television. Eventaully in 2011 she decided to go on a break from the limelight for a decent amount of time to focus on herself.
Cooku With Comali
Kani entered the second season of Cooku With Comali as a contestant. She eventually made it to the final. Later emerging as the winner of Cooku with Comali (Season 2) also winning the trophy and ₹5,00,000 cash prize. Her winning dish was "Chinese Briyani". She is also the first person to have received the highest score of marks in the television series history up to date.
Kani was born as the first child to director Agathiyan and Radha. She later went on to marry director Thiru and have 2 daughters of their own. She also has 2 younger sisters Vijayalakshmi and Niranjani Ahathian.
