Apple of my eye, my son) is a 1974 Indian Tamil-language drama directed by the duo Devaraj–Mohan. The film stars Sivakumar, Lakshmi, and M. N. Rajam in lead roles.[1][2] The film's soundtrack was composed by M. S. Viswanathan.
Plot[edit]
Rich businesswoman Jayalakshmi (M. N. Rajam) is possessive over her only son Selvam (Sivakumar). Janaki (Lakshmi) comes from a poor family and meets Selvam while working as a shop assistant. The two fall in love and eventually marry with Jayalakshmi's approval. Tensions arise as Jayalakshmi's possessiveness turns into paranoia and drives a wedge between Janaki and Selvam.
