The Kannada diaspora refers to descendants of the Kannada immigrants who emigrated from their native land Karnataka to other parts of the world. They are found primarily in North America, Europe, New Zealand, Malaysia, South Africa, Mauritius, Singapore, Fiji, Australia and the Caribbean

NRI(Non Resident Indian) Forum Karnataka has been formed by Govt. of Karnataka[2] to forge a symbiotic relationship between Karnataka and its Diaspora. The Forum will provide information on socio-economic activities of Karnataka State and its development and also coordinate investment in the state across all potential sectors. Its vision is to play a catalytic role in building sustainable linkages between the Karnataka State and Non-Resident Kannadigas across the globe, to build a progressive, vibrant and prosperous Karnataka.[3][4]
