Kapil Krishna (Kapil Gopalakrishnan) (born 27 May 1986) is an Indian film editor from Kerala who works mainly in Malayalam cinema along with Tamil and Sanskrit language films. He is considered one of the leading contemporary film editors in the Malayalam film industry and has introduced several new editing techniques into regional films. He did an independent blockbuster film Scene No: 001.
Career
Beginning his career as an animator and designer for ad films, Kapil Krishna initially focused on animation before realising he would have a more fulfilling career as an editor due to the possibilities in editing. He worked as a Freelance Editor in Kerala before working as an assistant editor for the Malayalam film industry and worked on more than nearly 50 films. After joining as editor in Chitranjali Studio, KSFDC (2009 to 2013), he has been an independent film editor since 2011.
