Lawrence Godwin Kingsley (born 23 August 2002) known professionally as Kaptain Kush is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, social media influencer, actor and blogger.[1] He is best known winning the 2017 'Best Promising Act Of The Year' in the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.[2] His song "Sorry" which is a track off his debut EP 'Love and Breakup (L.A.B)' reached No. 1 in The Nigeria iTunes. His debut EP also made it to 100 charting R&B albums.[3]

He is the founder of the Nigerian music review, awards, biography, entertainment website and management company, TheCityCeleb.[4]

Biography[edit]

Kaptain Kush was born and brought up in Somolu local government in Lagos State, Nigeria. He started his career as a musical artist with the release of his single "Kush Song" before adding blogging as part of his profession. Kaptain Kush attended Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta for his college education. He dropped his debut EP, Love and Breakup in 2021 which became a charted song.[5][6]
