"Kar Har Maidaan Fateh" is a song sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Sukhwinder Singh from the film Sanju released in 2018. The music of the song was composed by Vikram Montrose, while the lyrics were penned by Shekhar Astitwa. The music video of the track primarily features Ranbir Kapoor, Manisha Koirala and Paresh Rawal along with Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.

Development[edit]

The song was recorded by Shreya Ghoshal and Sukhwinder Singh at Soundideaz Studio in Mumbai, and was mixed by Steve Fitzmaurice. The song was programmed by the composer Vikram Montrose itself with additional programming by Bibhuti Gogoi and sound design by Utpal Das.

Music video[edit]

The music video of the song was released on 10 June, 2018 which primarily features Ranbir Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Manisha Koirala portraying Sanjay Dutt and his parents Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt respectively. The song documents young Sanjay’s struggle with drugs to his victory over it.[1]

Release[edit]

The song was released on 9 June 2018 on T-Series's YouTube page. On the same day of release, it was made available for online streaming at iTunes[2], Gaana.[3], Saavn[4], Google Play[5] and Wynk[6]. It trended at top position in India on YouTube India, Saavn and Gaana for about two days.[7][8] It also trended at other positions on YouTube India for several days.

Chart performance[edit]

The song debuted on Mirchi Music Top 20 countdown on 23 June 2018 at 7th position and climbed up to the 4th position. The track was marked at the highest position at Saavn weekly Top 15. It was also marked at Rank 1 at the Jio Music weekly Top 20.
