The Karachi Kings–Lahore Qalandars rivalry is a sports rivalry between the cricket teams of Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).[1][2]
Background[edit]
The rivalry between these two clubs is very intense.Both teams grab so much attention since they were founded in 2015 as the Qalandars and Kings, which are one of the most star studded and expensive franchises.[3][4]
The rivalry is sometime termed as local "India Vs Pakistan" by teams respective fans.[5]
The two teams faced off each other for the first time on 5 February 2016 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium,where kings managed to win easily by 7 wickets due to Mohammad Amir's brilliant spell of 3 for 27 including a hat-trick.This match was also the debut match for both sides in Pakistan Super League history.
