Karma’s World is a coming of age, computer animated, streaming television series. From showrunner Chris Bridges,[1] award-winning rapper, actor, producer and philanthropist, and inspired by his oldest daughter, Karma Bridges.[2] Bridges has spent almost 15 years working on this project.[3] Produced for Netflix by 9 Story Media Group and Brown Bag Films, the series premiered on Netflix on October 15, 2021, with season 1 comprising of 15 episodes featuring the voices of Chris Bridges, Danielle Brooks, Asiahn Bryant, Camden Coley, Dascha Polanco, Dawnn Lewis, Tiffany Haddish, Jordan Fisher, and more. [4] The series has received positive reviews for it's diverse representation and positive role models.[5]

Background[edit]

The series follows a young Black girl named Karma Grant[6], an aspiring musical artist and rapper who wants to change the world with her music.[7] Karma is only beginning to grasp the incredible emotional power that words and music can have. The series places emphasis on diversity and empowering young girls. [8]
