Karnan is an upcoming Indian Malayalam language epic historical film directed by R. S. Vimal based on Karnan, a major character in the Indian mythological epic, Vyasa's Mahabharata. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the title role.[4] The film was officially launched on January 15 2016 in Dubai,[5] the motion poster being released on the same day.[6] K. K. Senthil Kumar is the cinematographer.[7]
The film is touted to be the biggest worldwide release for Malayalam Cinema, with the makers having planned to release it in more than 2,000 screens.[8]
