Karnesh Sharma

Karnesh Sharma is an Indian film producer. He is the co-founder of the production company Clean Slate Films, along with sister, Anushka Sharma.[1] The brother-sister duo produced crime thriller NH10 in 2015 and their second production Phillauri, released in March 2017.[1][2]

Personal life[edit]

Sharma hails from Uttar Pradesh, India. His father Ajay Kumar Sharma was a Colonel in the Indian Army, while mother Ashima Sharma is a homemaker.[3] Sharma was a state level cricket player and played for the under-19 Karnataka Ranji cricket team. He was formerly serving in the Merchant Navy.[4] His sister Anushka Sharma is a film actress and producer.[5]

Clean Slate Films[edit]

Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma are the only brother-sister producer team in Bollywood.[6] Their first crime thriller NH10 garnered critical acclaim and was regarded as a sleeper hit.[7] Their second project Phillauri starring Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh released on March 24, 2017.[6] The team also has two more upcoming projects.[6]
