Kathleen Kelly Burkett was an American consultant and Democratic member of the St. Louis County Council.[1] She represented the second district from 2002 to 2014.[1][2]
Early life and career[edit]
For thirty years, Kathleen Burkett managed a small service business in Overland and worked as a consultant in the same field.[1] She was a member of the Overland Business Association and the North West Chamber of Commerce.[1]
Political career[edit]
Kathleen Burkett was a Director of the Community Fire Protection District, the President of the North Central County 911 Fire Alarm System, a municipal Police Advisory Board member, and a member of the County Board of Highways and Traffic.[1] She was also a member of the National Women's Political Caucus.[1] She was a member of the St. Louis County Council from 2002[1] and represented the second district, which contains about 145,000 people.[1]
She was an opponent of the smoking ban.[3]

Death[edit]
Burkett died in 2014, after a 2013 cancer diagnosis.[2]
