Kathryn Stack Morgan works at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a research scientist. She has worked with Ken Willford as deputy project scientists on the Perseverance rover to better understand the evolution of surface processes on Mars. She has been working on this project since 2020, and a main goal of the rover is to bring back rock samples to Earth for analysis.
