Baljinder Kaur (born 5 July 1991), popularly known by her stage name Kaur B, is an Indian Punjabi singer known for her live performances and work in the "Pollywood" Punjabi film industry. She made her singing debut with the song "Just Desi" in 2013.

Personal life

Kaur B was born on 6 July 1991 to a Jat Sikh family in the city of Pattran, Sangrur district, Punjab, India.[citation needed] She hails from Navagaon in the Punjab.[1]

Career

Kaur B rose to prominence with energetic performances and popular tracks. She is particularly known for her strong presence on social media[2][3] and engagement with fans.[4] In 2019, her Facebook following had exceeded 4.8 million.[5]

While she sings primarily in Punjabi, in 2018, she featured on songs in 3 languages - her own Punjabi song "Budget", followed by a collaboration on the Hindi song ‘Bam Bam’ to be featured on the soundtrack of the film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, followed by a Haryanvi song ‘Yaar Tera Chetak Pe Chale’.[6]

The same year, she teamed up with producer Tru-Skool to produce the single ‘Jatt Da Flag’.[7]

In 2015, she supported Jazzy B as he headlined at the Surrey Fusion Festival.[8][9] In 2019, she performed at various events Australia.[5] In 2022, she released the single Ve Jatta, followed by the Punjabi song Teri Jatti[10]. In 2023, she released Balle Balle featuring Dilpreet Dhillon.[11]
