Introduction
Kauwwa Private Limited, commonly known as Brand Name – “Kauwwa – Food on the way” [1], is a start-up company based on the concept of Make In India and Vocal for Local. It is an online food ordering platform which brings restaurants/dhabas and food lovers together. It was founded in 2020 and is based in Greater Noida, India, with a branch office in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
History
For the last decades, the online food industry has boomed and continues to be the largest segment, providing a platform for restaurants and food lovers. But even after decades, problems still exist for customers, i.e., “long waiting times in restaurants”, “difficulty in finding suitable restaurants while travelling”, “online rates being much higher than offline rates”, and also “problems with the safety and quality of food”. On the other hand, restaurants/dhabas also face problems, i.e., “high commissions charged by food aggregators” and the “inadequate marketing of products and offers on a large scale by restaurants on highways”. Seeing these difficulties faced by both restaurants/dhabas and food lovers, Mr. Kunal Singh (Founder), Mr. Vishal Singh (Managing Director), Mr. Prakash Kumar (C.E.O.), together with our well-trained team members, decided to address these problems and thus introduced “KAUWWA-Food On The Way”[1] in July 2020, which is a solution to all these mentioned problems.
KAUWWA– A Unique Concept in Food Industries
It basically targets customers who are on the way or travelling to other cities and have problems searching for restaurants or dhabas nearby their locations[2]. It also saves customers’ waiting time at restaurants as it is a concept of pre-ordering food. It also saves money by providing the same menu rates online. This concept makes Kauwwa a unique platform which saves money, time, and provides better food quality and services.
Expansions and Future Plans
They are going to launch the Kauwwa App on all platforms including iOS, Android, and websites in all cities of Bihar and Siliguri (W.B.) in July 2021, with a target of expanding the business Pan-India in the future. Kauwwa is basically a bootstrapped start-up but is looking for investors to help with business expansion across India.
